Kearns agrees to minor-league deal with Marlins

Outfielder Austin Kearns has agreed to terms on a minor-league contract with the Miami Marlins, and the deal includes an invitation to spring training, the Miami Herald reported Sunday. Kearns, 33, hit .245 with four home runs for the Marlins last season, when he struggled in the second half of the season because of leg injuries. He hit .200 with two homers for Cleveland in 2011.
