Curtis Trying To Get Back Into The Swing
Heading in to the 2011 season, it appeared outfielder Colin Curtis’ was primed to take another big step in his career: he was coming off a 2010 campaign in which he earned a big league call-up after hitting .289 (69-239) with 28 runs scored, 24 doubles, five homeruns and 27 RBIs through 66 games for the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees.

Yankees keep Curtis, lose Golson
In order to make room for recent roster moves the Yankees designated outfielders Colin Curtis and Greg Golson for assignment. Today they both cleared waivers, Curtis was assigned to Triple-A and Golson became a free agent, according to Chad Jennings of the Journal News.

Rumor: Yankees have officially signed Freddy Garcia
According to Bryan Hoch’s twitter account, the New York Yankees have officially signed RHP Freddy Garcia. To make room on the 40-man roster, OF Colin Curtis designated for assignment.
Curtis is the second outfielder in as many days to be removed from the Yankees roster. After missing all of last year with an injury, he could easily clear waivers and return to the Yankees system...
