Yankees release Cust, Curtis and Kruml

The New York Yankees have released Minor Leaguers Jack Cust, Colin Curtis and Ray Kruml according to Donnie Collins of the Scranton Times-Tribune. All of them were playing with the Yankees' Triple-A team this season. Cust, 33, was hitting .249/.400/.475 with 20 HR's, 66 RBI's and a .875 OPS in 425 plate appearances, Curtis, 27, hit .220/.308/.300 with 1 HR and a .608...

Curtis Trying To Get Back Into The Swing

Heading in to the 2011 season, it appeared outfielder Colin Curtis’ was primed to take another big step in his career: he was coming off a 2010 campaign in which he earned a big league call-up after hitting .289 (69-239) with 28 runs scored, 24 doubles, five homeruns and 27 RBIs through 66 games for the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees.
