George “Boomer” Scott died on Sunday at the age of 69. The three-time All-Star hit 271 home runs in a 14-year major league career and is a member of the Boston Red Sox hall of fame. Washington County coroner Methel Johnson confirmed Scott died on Sunday in Greenville, Miss., his hometown.
