D-backs' Kubel dealing with another quad issue
PHOENIX -- There is a reason left-handed power bat Jason Kubel has not been in the starting lineup against right-handers the last two days.
Kubel recently aggravated the left quadriceps injury that landed him on the disabled list a week into the season, and the D-backs are proceeding with caution in hopes that he does not need another stay on the disabled list.
Just trying to get...

Arizona Diamondbacks Activate Outfielder Jason Kubel
The Arizona Diamondbacks activated outfielder Jason Kubel from the 15-day disabled list. Instead of playing a few rehab games in the minors, the Diamondbacks thought it would be best to get his bat into the lineup sooner-rather-than-later. Finding more power as he ages gracefully in baseball terms, Kubel had 30 home runs in 2012.

Mark Grace is either clairvoyant or lucky, because the Diamondbacks broadcaster successfully predicted that Jason Kubel would hit a home run seconds before it happened.
Kubel bashed a two-run blast in the top of the second of Arizona’s game against Texas on Thursday to make it 2-1 and open the door for an 11-3 win.

New D-back Kubel looks forward to Chase Field
PHOENIX The seed was planted here last May, when Jason Kubel knocked the ball around Chase Field with impunity, hitting for the cycle in Minnesotas three-game series. The Twins were swept, but Kubel was kind of swept away.
Pretty nice place, he told his agent, Joel Wolfe.
I like the way the ball comes off my bat. Obviously a very talented young team. I told Joel then that this...
