Indians sign LHP Romero to minor league contract

The Cleveland Indians have signed left-hander J.C. Romero to a minor league contract and assigned him to Triple-A Columbus. The 37-year-old Romero allowed 12 earned runs in 12 innings last year for the St. Louis Cardinals and Baltimore Orioles.
