Blue Jays option Carreno to minors, call up Laffey
The Toronto Blue Jays have optioned right-hander Joel Carreno to Triple-A Las Vegas after he lost his first major league start.
Carreno gave up four runs and six hits in six innings Sunday against the Cleveland Indians. He allowed a pair of home runs to Carlos Santana. Carreno struck out three and walked four.
