The Cubs have agreed to terms with OF Justin Ruggiano and LHP Travis Wood, avoiding arbitration. They have also announced their non-roster spring training invitees and added a free agent first baseman.
Avoiding arbitration, the Chicago Cubs sign Justin Ruggiano to a one-year contract, reported at $2 million. The deal meets directly in the middle of what both sides were asking. Ruggiano played for the Marlins last year.
