PLAYERS: Gina Carano
Gina Carano will be featured on a show called "E:60 News Magazine". She's due to fight at the end of this month and i'm sure she'll get a lot of press and mainstream exposure on CBS. I wonder how the UFC would fair if they took up MMA....

I dont know about the UFC taking up female MMA. i think that the public is not ready for main stream female MMA yet, and Gina Carano is possibly the only known female MMA artist. It'll take time before female MMA is up and running but since the UFC is all about being main stream they probably won't venture out unless it's only Gina Carano.

UFC isn't all about being mainstreem. Most people just barely started watching MMA in the last few years. I've been following the UFC forever and I can tell you that MMA is very new to most people in the U.S. I will say that there are very few who would ever want to watch female MMA. I love the sport, but I don't think I would watch more than one fight ever with women involved. I don't find women's boxing exciting either. I'm not sexist, women just aren't as gifted athletically as men and aren't as fun to watch.
    • i'd watch it and i'd watch my wife fight anyday of the week. good for gina for takin it to the next level although she isn't the 1st female to fight

True! I'm glad she is taking it further. Women should do what they want with sports, but I just find womens sports to be very very boring. I may watch one fight because it's something different, but not more than that.
      • i'd watch ck fight to specially some of the ruts she comes across on here
  • no maybe not mainstream but some of us would watch it me included good blog

I think Shayna "The Queen of Spades" Baszler is a more well rounded fighter than Gina Carano. She landed a sweet Suplex on Keiko Tamai then finished her with a Twister.

    • nice call man
