More importantly pull your elbows back, this will block arteries as well as the air way and will pass your opponent out faster. With only blocking the air way it will take them much longer to pass out and gives them a fighting chance to escape.

I just love the fact that there's a choke that exists where you "hang" your opponent with his own body weight. Great guillotine last night at WEC 37. Can't remember the name of the guy who executed it, but the opponent shot, and homeboy defended with the guillotine while in the process of sprawling. Sick. You're on the defensive and four seconds later you've won.
