I'm not the type to sit there and get beat up*, but I'd rather let my lady kick my ass.

My point is, when you deal with women, you have to be slick and cool.

I'm glad that Gina Carano vs. Cris Cyborg, the first women's championship fight in the history of MMA, is happening on August 15 (10:30 PM ET, Showtime).

Although women and us men are always going to be at odds with each other in some way, I think it's best just to appreciate the opposite sex. Just let 'em be.

Too often, rather than trying to deal with women as they are, men try to deal with these felines from a Caveman's perspective. Dudes often try to argue with girls and try to get their way with head games, rather than through the heart. When this gets out of hand, they sometimes end up yelling at their boos. When worst comes to worst, violence becomes involved.

Thank God, for the sake of our manly existence - and the survival of the human race - the MMA community seems to have it together when it comes to Gina Carano and Cristiane Santos aka Cris Cyborg.

I get the impression that the average male MMA fan appreciates the skill, professionalism and toughness of Carano and Cyborg. I also gather that the average male MMA fan fancies the sweet athletic, aesthetic and behavorial combination that is the honey named Gina, but that's okay. If men are to accept women as they are, we have to be able to accept ourselves also - just do it with a semblance of class.

Due to her ability to pick apart an opponent technically and ability to match up size- and power-wise, I predict that Gina Carano will get a stoppage victory over Cris Cyborg in Round 4.

But really, what I just want to do is watch what I think will be a great fight and appreciate the other gender as they are.

Even if a technical knockout would not look pretty.

* If your ego can handle it, then it's not a bad idea to not fight back - or even press charges - after getting punched in Korea, where I live. If you're like me, and don't give a damn about pressing charges, then you could set yourself up for a quick payday.
