After a long lay off, back surgery, grieving over his father's passing, and being kicked off of team quest, Nate Quarry is back in the Octagon on September 19th. Nate has been through a lot since his knock out loss to Rich Franklin, but i think if he wants to make a come back he should do it now, he's got no room to wait. I really liked Nate, i thought he was a stand up guy on the Ultimate Fighter 1 show, and he has an 8-2 record. So that brutal knock out has been the low light of his career and i think he needs to get back in the cage to help build his confidence once again.

  • It will be interesting to see how he comes back from the surgery. Lack of movements may hinder his training.
  • i'm concerned about that too because he was contemplating retirement after surgery and i wonder what his reasons are for coming back into competition. i guess we'll see, september is just around the corner.

This is really bad news for Nate, and things have just gone down hill since his horrible, horrible knock out loss to Rich Franklin. Since that fight he's had to deal with his dad passing away...

Rich Franklin moves past Anderson Silva and focuses on Lutter

Rich Franklin has fought, and lost, to Anderson Silva twice in the past year and a half. He said that he has learned so much from those losses than he has learned in the past 14-15 years of his life. So there's no real surprise on what Rich's game plan is, punch Lutter in the face until he gives up. And Lutter is going to try to take the fight to the ground. I see...

Rich Franklin vs. Matt Hamill

Rich Franklin vs. Matt Hamill at UFC 88 is going to be an exciting match up. Looking at just skills and experience I would take Franklin but they are fighting at the 205 lbs weight class. Franklin is used to being the stronger fighter but since he's going up 15lbs and Hamill is a strong 205 fighter anyway, it is going to be a change for Franklin. Here's some thoughts...
