PLAYERS: Sean SherkTito Ortiz

When I went to the bar tonight, I was expecting three events that would leave my throat sore from screaming. When the night was over, I left with two events leaving me breathless and one leaving me wanting to puke. Guess which one made me gag? www.rawsportsblog.com

  • HA, your such an idiot. first off, Sherk was OUT. after he lost he made no arguement on the stoppage as Ken Shamrock did against Ortiz, second you should applaud both fighters for going toe to toe for nearly 15 min considering they are both known for thier ground and pound and either looked fatiged, and last credit Penn, i know him personally and he changed his life entirely for his new life of fighting, he is unstopable and there is no one in the 155 bracket that wants to face him after that performance
  • I agree ^^^.. Sean Sherk was out and was deemed unable to continue since the round ended and he wasn't even able to get up, and I also like how you said Mario Yamasaki is a new referree, he's actually been around for a while. He's one of the veteran referree's that's been sanctioned to facilitate UFC matches.
  • Yeah I dont know about this one man, Sherk wasn't getting up. Plus he didn't contest the stoppage in the post fight interview. he said that he didn't know it was the end of the fight. a fighter who says that shouldn't be allowed to go to the next round.
  • Sherk was oh so out!! He even admits in an interview after the fight that he doesn't even remember/know what happened!! If the man himself said that he didn't even know what strike put him down then uh yeah, he is out. Want to add that I agree with everything that silva8590 said.
  • jwllll...... what are you smoking? your acting like bj beat down your brother!!! KEEP PUKIN cause I know your seeing flashbacks of bj PAINTING sherks face with his jabs !!!! LOL.......
  • Was this your first time watching UFC? "Penn and Sherk beat each other senseless through three rounds" What? "New referree Mario Yamasaki" Yamasaki has been a UFC ref for years.
  • Here's what you wrote about the Wanderlei/Jardine fight - "Silva broke a three fight losing streak and won his first fight in almost a decade by taking the upstart from the Ultimate Fighter series." You're a jackass, and are very wrong. He's won many fights over the last 10 years. Get your facts straight.

Also your opinion on the Sherk/BJ fight is pathetic. I suggest you get someone else to write your next UFC article.

  • Again, I agree with Osbornejt.
  • yea dude, don't write about MMA anymore.
  • Flying knee from hell to the right cheekbone. Good friggen night! Nothing more to be said.
Penn's the man at 155. No one can touch him right now.
This guy with the comment is a joke.
  • err...I meant the left cheekbone. But ya get my drift.
  • Sherk got worked. It was the right call. BJ was landing the jab and was just inflicting more pain and damage to Sherk.

Previewing UFC 84: Penn vs. Sherk

Pre-fight hype is a part of the fighting world. It is a chance for each fighter to talk trash about one another and hopefully it boosts ticket sales and pay-per-view buys. Sometimes you will even get the fighters involved to say something personal that give the fight more of an edge to it and raises the intensity. BJ Penn and Sean Sherk passed that level before their fight was even...
