After a grueling main event at UFC 165, UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and challenger Alexander Gustafsson received 60 day medical suspensions.
The Office of the Athletics Commissioner of Ontario sent the list of medical suspensions to BetweenTheRopes.com earlier today.
Along with Jones and Gustafsson, Eddie Wineland, Chris Clements, Renee Forte and Nandor Guelmino also received 60 day suspensions as well.
All fighters on the card get a required 14 day suspension for precaution.
Here is the suspension list from Saturday’s UFC card in Toronto:
- Jon Jones: Suspended 60 days. Additionally, needs CT scan or MRI, plus x-ray before return.
- Alexander Gustafsson: Suspended 60 days. Additionally, needs CT scan or MRI before return.
- Eddie Wineland: Suspended 60 days. Additionally, needs CT scan or MRI before return.
- Matthew Mitrione: Suspended 30 days. Additionally, needs CT scan or MRI before return.
- Mike Ricci: Suspended 30 days. Additionally, needs x-ray before return....

UFC fighters Jon Jones and Alexander Gustaffson faced off Saturday night and it was a real doozy. Jones won the fight, but both brawlers were sent to the same hospital afterwards where they took this photo. Pretty adorable, considering only a couple hours before the picture was taken these two were ripping into each other.
