Dan Henderson just keeps losing out on title fights left and right. Less than three weeks after UFC President Dana White professed Henderson would earn next dibs at the light heavyweight hardware if he beats Lyoto Machida at UFC 157, White has abruptly changed course by stating Alexander Gustafsson is now in the driver’s seat. “If [Gegard] Mousasi beats Gustafsson, he skyrockets right to the top of that division. As far as Gustafsson goes, if he beats Mousasi in that fight, he’s in line for a title shot,” White stated following Wednesday’s press conference in England. “This is a big fight for both those guys.” White initially took his infamous “we’ll see what happens” approach with the Gustafsson vs. Mousasi matchup. He claimed if the victor of their April 6th shootout posted a more devastating win than a victorious Machida, he would leapfrog the Brazilian and get next crack at the throne. Henderson missed out on his first opportunity to fight for the 205-pound crown when he was forced out of UFC 151 after tearing his knee. The clock is certainly ticking for the 42-year-old to finally get his chance. Reigning champion Jon Jones is currently an astronomical 10-to-1 favorite to steamroll Chael Sonnen at UFC 159.

Jeff Monson made an interesting and, in typical Monson style, incendiary comment a few years back basically saying that all athletes should be on steroids, that way there’s an equal playing field. Although that is something to consider for at least half a second, Monson doesn’t seem to factor in the damage steroids and certain PEDs do to someone’s body of years of use. Damaging...
