The problem it would seem the UFC is facing is a gap in talent where the top of the class is so much better than whoever is #2 that the fights between the champ and the contender are boring. Silva is fighting Patrick Cote next who was beaten most recently by two fighters that Silva has KO'd. The UFC needs to go after the best talent left in free agency to challenge their Champs. The fact is people only will watch the champions if there is a chance for a loss. I applaud the UFC for making this fight as I believe the fans want to see it. But remember even in the best case scenario these 3 fighters can make 3 different fights and that is a very short-term fix for an on-going problem. Hopefully the UFC will get a large enough influx of talent to make these weight classes interesting again.

  • I want to see Dewey jump in the ring and do a tag team event... I'd pay double for that pay per view
  • I'd lay $100 on Dewey to win $10,000... sorry Dewey
  • 100:1 odds is a compliment. I'd put me more at like three billion to one. The only way I could win any MMA fight is if the other fighter tripped over their own feet and somehow lost consciousness in the process. I can't even walk up four flights of stairs without getting winded. That puts me about on par with Kimbo.
  • you could win by dq....not likely though
  • or maybe if the fighter had a brain anurism between "lets get it on" and the knockout (about a 2 second window)
  • If he took you down to hard and knocked himself out a la Gray Maynard vs. Rob Emerson you could pick up a no contest.
  • Two on one? I accept the challenge.

  • those two would still beat you
  • for sure
  • I want them to beat me.
  • Dewey - they'd dominate you like bald pelechati at a pong table... sad sad existence
  • wonder if herring could take these two?
  • Something tells me there won't just be blood. There will be a lot of it.
  • This article is hilarious and really not researched well.
  • What's incorrect?
  • You obviously don't understand MMA
  • Honestly, once I saw that Pelechati said the article wasn't researched well, I didn't bother reading it. I trust his opinion.
  • yeah, that pelechati is a smart guy
  • Pelechati knows more about MMA than anyone I've ever met. I don't know very much right now, but I have a good mentor and learn more every day.
  • Dont worry - pelechati using the word research is the utmost in irony
  • Pelechati is out of his league
  • What is wrong with the research? The records, weights, and dates are correct. Point out some holes? I love comments like "This is bad." and "This sucks." Good input homey.
Now I am very excited to see this fight, The December card is the best of the year. After watching Wandy and Chuck last year i have very high hopes.
  • I am impressed Pelechati can read
  • HA!
  • BURN.
  • I want a YB office MMA tournament, and you have to take a shot in between rounds
  • My money is on Nic. That dude is an animal. Former rugby player. If he didn't have 50 pounds on Shadow, it would be a great fight.
  • or slam a beer
  • My office has MMA tournaments/fights on almost a daily basis. It really can take the edge off/ create huge issues, as the office stops during matches.
  • you should have those fights televised
  • who is the favorate in a YB MMA tourny?
  • Dewey's fight (pic in comment 1.2) looks far more interesting
  • well said
  • Who would win, GSP or Brock?
  • Really hard question. Brock may be to big.
  • I would go with Brock no questions asked. No UFC fighter under 200 lbs could stop brock
  • Anderson silva would probably eat his lunch. He makes 185 but is over 200, not sure if that counts.
  • if silva had do make 185, brock would win
  • better for their league, Dana or Vince?
  • Who Wins: George St. Pierre Vs. Kimbo Slice
  • GSP is the better fighter, Kimbo wins due to body weight
  • GSP would crush Kimbo. That much I know. Hell, Miguel Torres would beat Kimbo.
  • Dana is the man!
  • This article is spot on. Someone find me a problem with it? Or am I just an idiot?
  • it was written very well
  • Silva's a bum. Anyone thing he do better than herring?
  • Herring would take Silva
  • The amount of user ids associated with ingamenow on this post is hilarious. Nothing like spamming the site to pump up articles.
