Bellator returns this Thursday with the Season 8 finale set to take place at the Revel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The defending featherweight champion, Pat Curran, was scheduled to defend his title against Season 6 winner Daniel Straus however, Straus broke his hand during training had had to drop out of the fight. Curran has agreed to face Season 7 winner Shahbulat Shamhalaev and Straus will face the winner at a later date.  As stated, the headlining fight will feature knockout artist Shahbulat Shamhalaev attempting to dethrone Pat Curran and claim the featherweight crown for himself. Since joining Bellator, Curran has been on an absolute tear through the featherweight division, winning two tournaments, knocking out Joe Warren to claim the strap and demonstrating both his impressive stand up and ground ability.
