PLAYERS: Michael Chandler
David Rickels and his electric beard have been on quite the rise since he made the drop to the 155 pound division. Rickels recently earned a title shot by plowing through three lightweights in the toughest tournament in sports during Bellator's 8th season. Let's just say this isn't something, "So easy a 'Caveman' can do it." When you win a Bellator tournament you get a really cool looking big $100K check. Kind of like the ones they get on game shows except they even have a picture of you on it. If you're a Bellator fighter and you fight inside of the lightweight, or welterweight division (see Ben Askren) then this is your crowing achievement. You see, folks (like Rickels) used to drop down from 170 (to avoid Ben Askren) after having an unsuccessful run with hopes of winning the 155 lb tournament and one day becoming a champion. Unfortunately for them there is now a man named Michael Chandler at the end of that violent rainbow, and he just happens to be more 'Blessed' than most.
