Just when you think today couldn’t get any stranger for the UFC after announcing Dan Henderson was a no-go, Cancelling UFC 151, naming a replacement fight (Jones Vs. Machida II) as the headliner for UFC 152 in Toronto, there is more change.

UFC Announced via it’s Facebook page that Lyoto Machida has declined the fight, scheduled for September 22nd.

Vitor Belfort will take his place, and will attempt to snatch the title from Jon “Bones” Jones whom declined earlier today to fight Chael Sonnen on just eight days notice, causing the organization to cancel an event for the first time in it’s history.

This move comes as a shock to many, and Machida took part in last months UFC on Fox fights for a chance at the title shot and Dana White issued him the chance with the most impressive win of the night.

Things have changed so much over the last twelve hours, and we’re hoping that this fight will stay as planned.
