Brock Lesnar tapped into a lifetime of wrestling to overwhelm the much more experienced Heath Herring over three rounds Saturday in the co-main event of UFC 87 "Seek and Destroy" in Minneapolis, Minn. Fans inside the Target Center rewarded the 2000 NCAA Div. I wrestling champion for the University of Minnesota with their undying adulation, while the judges handed Lesnar the third victory of his short, but so-far productive mixed martial arts career with a 30-26 unanimous decision nod across the cards.

  • Brock. Brock. Brock. Brock.
    Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom.
  • imossible to loose at home
  • Great clip of the match on the click through, Brock is a beast
  • Brock is the man. Proving once again having a wrestling background in MMA is key to being successful. If he can improve his submission defense and ju-jitsu game he should be a force.
  • He is part of the new breed of MMA wrestlers. My guess is he is training ju-jitsu non stop, but like Fitch wrestling comes with it... Brock is going to be a force. NOBODY is strong enough to wrestle with him. NOBODY.
  • I regret doubting Brock. He destroyed the Crazy Horse.
  • @dewey - Brock whooped like @pelechati playing you in some backyard pong. don't doubt Big Brock
  • Brock was impressive... but even more impressive is Pelechati's face on Lesnar.

  • The first punch was crazy that brock landed. Then when they were on the ground and Brock threw that hook I thought Heath's head was going to get dislocated from his spine. Just crazy strength.
  • Is there a heavyweight whose skill can out-do Brock's size, agility, and speed? I thought Heath's skill and experience would get the job done. Man did I UNDERESTIMATE Brock! I like Herring, he's a good guy with a lot of skill and heart. I seriously hope the guy is ok. Anyone else notice he was about the only big name guy not at the post fights press conference after the pay-per-view? I wonder if it was because he was not able to attend due to being attended by medical professionalists. Brock didn't show a lot of skill in the fight. He showed one solid punch, a few takedowns, and knees. Anyone else who would have someone in the control Brock did would put the other guy in some submission or choke-out hold and end the fight. I wonder if Brock just didn't want to end it or he didn't know what to do to end it. Makes you think doesn't it?
  • There is another up and comer Shane Carwin. He is a 6'4 265 wrestling and football all american. He is solid just like Brock. His first fight in the UFC was a one punch KO. He knocked the guys mouth piece out with just one right hook. Here in a year they will be up against each other. Another is Cain Velasquez but I dont think he would fare to well.

Another thing about Carwin is he is 9-0 and hasnt had a fight last longer than 2 minutes.
  • Yeah Carwin is a beast but they will never have him and Brock fight because they are going to build both up. I expect Kongo and Brock to matchup next.
  • I just read a post from a close friend of herrings that he was rushed to the hospital after the fight, spent 2 nights in the hospital. He suffered from internal bleeding (similar to a car accident) and a slight fracture to the orbital (the bone below your eye). I don't have the link but if you don't believe me just search heath herring internal bleeding, you'll find it. I was at the target center watching the fights, the crowd was so loud it was unreal! Brock is a freak, I remember watching him wrestle for U of M this guy is going to succeed in the UFC, that's just what he does, he trains and he wins! Mark my words, he will be a UFC champion
