Cage Fury Fighting Championships Cancels "Kimbo vs. Tank" Event After All

An Oct. 12 Cage Fury Fighting Championships show that was supposed to feature a main event between Internet brawler Kimbo Slice and UFC veteran David "Tank" Abbott has been canceled after all. Felix Martinez, CFFC president, today made the announcement of cancellation on the organization's official website. "CFFC 6" was scheduled to take place next weekend at Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, N.J. Earlier this week, rumors of the event's possible cancellation spread when it was learned the organization lost a deal with its pay-per-view partner. Martinez stated that the event would instead be streamed over the Internet and that the show would go on. Today, though, Martinez claimed a "major investor" pulled out of the event, which prompted the cancellation.   • Cage Fury Fighting Championships is a sorry ass excuse for an MMA organization . CFFC was so ridiculously pathetic that they announced the bad news the day of the fight . What kind of company advertises an already canceled event ? Thus crapping on the face of 20 professional fighters , who spend countless hours training for these matches . Not only is CFFC wrong for lying to the public . Most importunately they are wrong for lying to the athletes . Personally this classic fight between two hard hitting street fighters in Tank Vs Kimbo would have been awesome to see . Though There is a still a part of me that would like to think, the self proclaimed street fighting legends would shrug off the cancellation and through pure bone breaking hatred of each other , bring the match into the streets . At Kimbo vs. Mercer Tank did look ready to scrap after yelling , " lets take it to the parking lot " . So why not make everybody happy and throw down the way these guys know best . In an asphalt grinding knuckle crunching face smashing back alley brawl . Complete with the occasional shit talk jab in between blows . That would make my day , but that will never happen because Kimbo needs to buy more overkill pointless gold necklaces and Tank needs to support his alcohol addiction . Hopefully one day though , we will actually see this fight take place . In which case my money's on kimbo , Tank needs to hit the treadmill .
