This past Tuesday on FUEL TV the debut of “Countdown to UFC 144″ aired. The show is the lead up to this Saturday’s giant UFC 144 event, which features Frankie Edgar vs. Ben Henderson in the main event, followed by Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Ryan Bader in the co-main event. The countdown show also featured welterweights Jake Shields and local boy Yoshihiro Akiyama, as well as lightweights Anthony Pettis vs. Joe Lauzon.
UFC 144 will be the first time the UFC has been back to Japan since the year 2000.

Betting against Frankie Edgar has proven to be very bad business in the past few years.
He was a whopping +500 underdog in his first fight with BJ Penn and was an underdog months later when they met again. We all know the Edgar carried the belt out of the Octagon both times.
Ditto against the bigger Gray Maynard in two epic battles in 2011.
