There has been an outcry lately by a lot of MMA fans, myself included, for Dana White and the UFC to step up and pay their fighters better. The top draws make the best money but it still fails to meet the standards set by some of the boxing pay-outs. I do like the fact that fighters get bonuses for winning the fight and of course they get paid from their sponsors which is a great source of revenue for them.

EXACTLY! You see what happens when people get to big for there pants like Elite XC, if the CBS thing doesnt go big with ratings over a 2.5 then the Elite XC wont be here next year. Because of how much money they spend, but they dont get production from there shows.

Boxing pay outs are huge, but in boxing there's a huge disparity between top fighters and prospects. The UFC is the same but on a lower scale, and i think this is due to the MMA market not being as big and widely accepted as the boxing market. In the long run I think these fighters are going to get paid more but the industry is still young and still has a lot of room to grow. MMA is about to hit primetime tv for the first time, its been around for about 18 or so years... boxing goes way back and has been a huge part of american history
