One week ago, UFC bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey (pictured) hinted that an early exit from mixed martial arts in favor of a transition to Hollywood was a possibility. However, despite all the magazine covers and movie roles being left at her doorstep, UFC president Dana White doesn’t buy Rousey will be done with MMA in a few years. White’s primary reason for believing his latest mainstream meal ticket won’t jump ship – if it don’t make dollars, then it don’t make sense. “There’s no way in hell,” White said Thursday of Rousey prematurely hanging up her MMA gloves. “I don’t care what Hollywood offers, they ain’t paying what we’re paying. These guys, when they go out and make a movie, they aren’t making what we’re paying.” In her lone UFC outing, Rousey made a reported $90,000, with half of her paycheck coming via win bonus, for submitting Liz Carmouche at UFC 157. However, that total does not include any top secret discretionary bonus the UFC notoriously hands out to their athletes who go above and beyond the call of duty – such as doing most of the heavy lifting to promote, and then perform, in the first female fight in company history, like Rousey did in February. Rousey launched her professional MMA career in 2011 and has hasn’t looked back. She owns an unblemished 7-0 mark inside the cage, with all of her wins coming in the first round courtesy of her trademark armbar. She just finished filming “The Ultimate Fighter 18″ opposite Miesha Tate. The bitter rivals will collide New Year’s Eve weekend at UFC 168.
