I blame Dana White for Randy's retirement! "Randy is very excited to embark on a promising career in acting, as well as spending more time with his wife and family. He's currently shooting a lead role in Universal's "The Scorpion King - The Rise of the Akkadian" in South Africa, and has more offers on the table. His heart will always belong to the sport, and I doubt he will wander too far away from it, but it was a matter of respect and Randy felt the need to move on." Source Rumor is he's leaving because the UFC was unable to get Fedor Emelianenko under contract to fight Randy. Randy (16-8 MMA, 13-5 UFC) is one of the most decorated fighters in MMA history and the only athlete to ever hold the UFC's heavyweight and light-heavyweight titles. The former All-American wrestler has competed in 15 title fights in his 24-fight career. It's a sad day for the UFC and the MMA as a sport. He'll definitely go down in history ...

  • this is definitely a sad day.....Dana said that he's not surprised that Randy is leaving because he said that he will leave if Fedor is not signed. i dont think this is the end for Randy, i think he's going to look into signing with M-1 and fighting Fedor. Randy was also sad about the fact they were willing to pay up for Fedor, which was the highest amount of guaranteed money, and he wasn't getting anything near that amount of money.
