Poor Paulo Filho. I can’t tell if the guy is trying to right the ship or if he is just jumping repeatedly in the same spot trying to sink the damn thing. The guy signs on to fight Bellator middleweight champion Hector Lombard, a step in the right direction. Then pulls out only a few days before the fight, which is about 5 steps in the wrong direction. I dunno maybe he has a good reason. Let’s have a looksie at what Paulo had to say about his recent withdrawal from his Bellator 18 super fight and go all FJM stylee on it. Because there’s no way this whole pulling out thing is his fault, right?

The first is on the 3rd, the second on the 10th and against a guy who has fought with (José) Pelé, and the third I think is between Marvin Eastman or Denis Kang, on 18th
My guess is that the rationale goes as follows. Schedule 3 fights closely around one another and he’s bound to actually show up and fight in one. Right? I mean he’d have to fight in at least one. Then again this is Paulo Filho, so you never know…
