Prior to Saturday’s welterweight title unification bout, it was believed a victorious Carlos Condit was the only thing standing between a super-fight with Georges St-Pierre (Pictured) and Anderson Silva.  Not only was Silva showcased in the final episode of “UFC 154 Primetime,” a three-part documentary the reigning middleweight champ had no business appearing in, but UFC president Dana White also flew “The Spider” all the way to Montreal to watch GSP vs. Condit in person and the UFC had Silva conduct his own press conference just minutes before UFC 154 went live. However, now that St-Pierre has solidified his spot as the baddest 170-pounder in bare feet, it appears he has the most reservations in accepting the challenge. “I need to take some vacation and think about it, to see where I want to put my career,” St-Pierre expressed after trouncing Condit. “I want to make the best choice for myself, the UFC and for the fans. “I’m going to have a talk to my manager, my trainer and all my entourage about it and we’ll see what’s going to happen.” If Silva gets his way, the two will tango in the most anticipated scrap in mixed martial arts history. “This is my plan, but it is not my decision,” Silva said on FUEL TV’s post-fight show on his desire to face GSP. “I am here to work for the UFC. I have my plans, Georges has his plans, but we both need to talk to Dana and [UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta] because this is the biggest fight in the world. “The fans of UFC will love it. Maybe this fight is the best fight in the history of the UFC.” Well, White is the ultimate shot caller in MMA, so don’t fret, fanboys. After taking over the UFC’s reins 11 years ago, he’s prided himself of arranging the fights fans want to see. “I’m going to make the GSP-Silva fight,” White matter-of-factly told FUEL. “GSP is sore, he just got hit by a bus, and he hasn’t fought in 18 months. But I’ll make this fight. They’ll fight and it’ll probably be around May. It’ll either be in Toronto, Dallas, Texas, or Brazil.” If this blockbuster bout transitions from fantasy to fact, it will take place at a catchweight – likely at 177 or 178 pounds.
