After skipping a year (don't ask me why - it wasn't like he was out of shape last year), Georges is back in the 2009 Men's Fitness 25 Fittest Guys in the World. And while he often credits genetics (his mother confirmed to me that he indeed had a six-pack when he was 10 years old), that's simply his modesty and humility coming through. I can attest that he is one of the most disciplined guys in MMA, if not all professional sports. When we travel for promotional activities, Georges starts to go a little nuts if he doesn't get to train, so I quickly learned not to 'overbook' our days so that he can work in some form of training. And if nothing else, I'll hold the stopwatch when he's running sprints. While Georges is surrounded by an incredible team of the best trainers in the sport, particular credit for his return to this list belongs to Jonathan Chaimberg, his strength & conditioning coach in Montreal, who's also quoted in this issue. Be sure to check it out.---SLS
