Jake Ellenberger looked great in his fight against Nate Marquardt earning the first round KO. Jake is now 8-2 in his UFC career and like he tells Ariel Helwani should be one fight away from a title fight. A fight with either Rory MacDonald or Tarec Saffiedine would make sense. Either way Jake shows improvement in every one of his fights and look for him to stay in the gym and keep climbing the welterweight ladder.

Two heavy handed strikers take to the Octagon, as Jake Ellenberger and Nate Marquardt square off.
The first round opens with both men trading strikes and leg kicks. Late in the first Ellenberger showed off his hands when he landed a beautiful left hook combination which dropped Marquardt. The ground and pound forced the referee to stop the fight.
