Jon Jones ended the night in a stool, the victim of one of the several odd injuries at UFC 159.
Fortunately for Jones, he was smiling through the pain with the UFC light heavyweight belt secured to his waist after a first-round TKO victory over Chael Sonnen at Prudential Center early Sunday morning.
Jones appeared to have dislocated the big toe on his left foot.
"I don't know when it happened, but when the adrenaline calms down I'm going to be in some pain tonight," Jones joked in the post-fight interview moments after the crowd gasped when an image of the injury was displayed on the big screen.
Jones earned the stoppage with a minute, 27 seconds left in the first round after he trapped a fallen Sonnen along the cage. Jones unleashed several elbows and punches before the fight was halted.
"When he went in for the kill, he never stopped," Sonnen said.
