A welterweight scrap between Jordan “Young Gun” Mein and Forrest “The Meat Cleaver” Petz will serve as the headlining bout for The Score Fighting Series (SFS) 7. SFS officials announced the match-up on Wednesday which will take place from the Hamilton Place Theatre in Ontario on Friday, November 23rd. Mein (25-8) enters the bout having won seven out of last eight bouts. Most recently he notched a unanimous decision over Tyler Stinson at the Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy event in June. Mein, who trains out of the Canadian Martial Arts Centre, has recorded 20 of his wins by stoppage with 13 coming by knockout. UFC veteran Petz (25-9) will look to extend his winning streak to five with a win over Mein. Petz also finishes fights with 12 of his career wins by form of knockout and 5 by submission. He most recently competed at SFS 4 where he scored a second round technical knockout of Sergej Juskevic. The main card for SFS 7 will be televised live on AXS TV beginning at 10:00pm ET. Josh Hill, Jesse Ronson, Will Romero, Alex Ricci and Ryan Dickson are all expected to compete on the fight card.
