A flyweight scrap between Joseph Benavidez (Pictured) and Ian McCall kicked off Saturday’s “UFC 156: Aldo vs. Edgar” pay-per-view broadcast. The show is headlined by a featherweight superfight between champion Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar. Benavidez nails him with a short elbow for his troubles. McCall connects on a big kick to the body. Benavidez caps off a flurry with a solid left hand. McCall takes a shot to the groin and time is called. Game on. Benavidez looks sharp. He’s punishing McCall’s lead leg with kicks. McCall scores with a knee to the midsection.
