Melvin Guillard looking past Kenny Florian, wants tougher fight

By Jason Benfari January 27, 2011Fresh off a spectacular first-round knockout over highly regarded lightweight prospect Evan Dunham, Melvin Guillard has turned his gaze from prospects and tough veterans, to the UFC lightweight elite. But that category, according to Guillard, does not appear to include fellow lightweight contender Kenny Florian. "Look, Kenny's had his chance a couple of times, you know," Guillard said. "I like Kenny, I don't really want to get into this whole argument about Kenny, but he's had his shot twice. He's had his chance. He had his time. He blew it. He didn't make it. Obviously, he's probably not meant to be a champion, but for some reason they put him up in the top 5."
