Michael Bisping (Pictured) has confirmed what the rumor mill had been buzzing about for the past week. The controversial UFC middleweight announced that he has indeed severed ties with his longtime Wolfslair team.
“yeah its true I left wolfslair. I ve done Martial arts since I was 8yrs old. It was a phase of my training there, but I have now moved on,” Bisping tweeted.
Bisping had his four-fight winning streak snapped last month in a top contender contest by Chael Sonnen. Although “The Count” lost by unanimous decision, the 32-year-old believed he had done enough to punch his ticket to a championship affair against Anderson Silva.
He recently relocated to Southern California and starting training heavily with Tiki Ghosn and wrestler Brady Fink, which lead many to believe that it was only a matter of time before he officially departed the U.K.-based gym.
After taking “The Ultimate Fighter 3” tournament in 2006, Bisping went on to win three straight scraps before falling to Rashad Evans. He then dropped to the middleweight division, where he has posted a respectable 8-3 mark. The veteran owns an underrated 22-4 overall record, with 14 of his victories coming via some form of knockout.
