At the press conference after UFC 81, Dana White mentioned something about a 2/4/08 deadline for Mirko Cro Cop to let the UFC know his future plans. This led to all sorts of retirement speculation both in the US MMA media and the sports media in Cro Cop's native Croatia. Seems that this is the first that Cro Cop has heard of a "deadline". He's also had several conversations with the UFC "braintrust" further contradicting Dana White's assertion that he's asleep at the switch.
