The Nevada State Athletic Commission has released the live gate and ticket sales for the UFC’s year-end Pay-Per-View card UFC 155. The event made a profitable $3,286,025 live gate with 10, 590 tickets sold and 2,971 complimentary tickets, which falls approximately 300 tickets short of a sell-out.
UFC 155 saw Mexican heavyweight Cain Velasquez regain his title in a five round thriller against a resilient Junior dos Santos. The Mexican heavyweight came in as a slight underdog after a KO loss to dos Santos in their first outing but proved that, when healthy, Velasquez is a completely different fighter.The co-main event saw one of the bloodiest fights in recent memory as Joe Lauzon and Jim Miller squared off.The fight would later rightfully earn ‘Fight of the Night’ honours.
