 Zuffa, LLC, owner of the Ultimate Fighting Championship has released an official statement today regarding drug test results from UFC on FX 7 that took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on January 19, 2013. The event was headlined by a middleweight match-up between Vitor Belfort and Michael Bisping. Whilst there had been rumours circulating regarding Belfort failing a drug test but it appears he was within the legal limit yet was medically approved for TRT. The failed test result belongs to fellow Brazilian Thiago Tavares, who lost Khabib Nurmagomedov on the main portion of the card, and will be suspended for nine months retroactive from the date of the event.
