After attempting to block countless Lavar Johnson bombs with his face at “UFC on FOX 3,” heavyweight Pat Barry (Pictured) was rushed to the hospital. Although he was clearly disappointed with his 1stRound TKO loss to the former Strikeforce standout, Barry managed to update his fans on his status via Twitter.
The charismatic 32-year-old appeared to be in good spirits, as he posted several upbeat comments and self-taken pics while on his bed. Among many other modifications made to his grill, Barry appears to have several new knots on his forehead.
“IN THE HOSPITAL NOW. LADY ASKED IF I HAD PAIN IN THE HEAD CAUSE I MIGHT [HAVE CONCUSSION]. I SAID NO. THEN I TOLD HER ZUFFA WAS OUT OF LAS VEGAS, NV. AND SHE KEPT ASKING ME IF NV WAS THE CITY!!!” Barry tweeted.
Barry has now lost four of nine fights inside the Octagon. The likable slugger owns a 7-5 record overall.
“UFC on FOX: Diaz vs. Miller” took place Saturday night inside IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
