PLAYERS: Nate Marquardt
Many expected Nate Marquardt to come out of last nights final Strikeforce event and into the UFC as the Strikeforce Welterweight Champion. Tarec Saffiedine didn’t buy into that. In a very lopsided main event, Saffiedine brutalized Marquardt’s lead leg with stiff leg kicks for the entire fight. The leg kicks ended up being a game-changer for Saffiedine, as it stopped Marquardt from utilizing his tremendous takedowns. Following the fight Marquardt took to Twitter to share some photos of his bruised and battered leg.

Key matches to make following Strikeforce: Marquardt vs. Saffiedine

After over two decades of supplying combat sports Strikeforce finally got a lethal dose of arsenic and mercifully went to sleep.
