After recently knocking out former UFC contender Travis Lutter for his fifth win in six fights, middleweight Rafael Natal has signed a four-fight deal with the UFC, Renzo Gracie announced today on his official website.
An instructor at Gracie’s New York academy, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Natal improved to 12-2 with the first-round KO of Lutter at May’s “Moosin: God of Martial Arts” event.
“Sapo” joins teammates Ricardo Almeida, Matt Serra, and Gracie on the UFC roster.
Natal is expected to debut at UFC 119, though his opponent has yet to be determined for the September 25 event in Indianapolis, according to MMA Weekly.
