Tuesday’s UFC 157 conference call was rather uneventful until Ronda Rousey (Pictured) decided to coin a new word: “Cryborg.” The outspoken Rousey used the term to describe bitter rival Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos and her perceived crybaby ways. The tension picked up when Rousey was asked about Cyborg’s recent request to be released from the UFC. Cyborg’s manager, Tito Ortiz, appeared on Inside MMA last Friday claiming the former Strikeforce featherweight champ has no choice since it’s “impossible” for his client to shed the excess 10 pounds required to compete at bantamweight, the UFC’s lone women’s division. Too bad, so sad says the “Rowdy” one. “No, not really at all,” Rousey responded when asked if she’d be disappointed if the UFC cut Cyborg. “I think she’s just kind of making a lot of noise, trying to get attention because she’s kind of fading into being irrelevant.
