Reigning UFC Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey said that she would take a fight against Fallon Fox, who recently admitted she was once a male. Although she says she’d fight her, she wouldn’t think it was fair. Does Fox have an unfair advantage over other Female Fighters? (Photo: ESPN) “She can try hormones, chop her pecker off, but it’s still the same bone structure a man has,” Rousey told the New York Post, via Fox Sports. “It’s an advantage. I don’t think it’s fair.” Fox has been in the spotlight since March, when she revealed she was once a man, before undergoing gender reassignment surgery in 2006. It made a few headlines, and many fighters had things to say about it. Heavyweight fighter Matt Mitrione called Fox “a lying, sick, sociopathic, disgusting freak”. He has since been suspended by the UFC for violating the UFC Code of Conduct Policy. Rousey said of Mitrione’s comments that she could see where he was coming from, but wouldn’t have put it the same way in her own words. She was a little less to the point when she talked about it. “It’s not something that happened to her,” Rousey said. “It was a decision she made. She should be aware in her career after that, it’s going to be an arduous path…. It’s going to draw a lot of emotions.” Rousey added that she did compete against hermaphroditic athletes in other sports, but this was a different situation. Still, she said she would take the fight, but what would happen if Fox ended up being the Women’s Champion? “It’s a very socially difficult situation.” Rousey Said. Fox is 2-0 in her professional MMA career, and has a fight scheduled for May in a lower-tier MMA league. Follow us on Twitter @RealSportsKings Sports-Kings Site Manager – Justin Arbogast @NFLGuy_SK
