A match-up of surging heavyweights Stefan “Skyscraper” Struve and Mark “The Super Samoan” Hunt is the first bout confirmed for UFC on FUEL TV 8. The Saitama Super Arena in Japan will serve as host for the March 2nd event. Struve and Hunt were previously scheduled to square off at UFC 146 before a knee injury forced Hunt to withdraw from the bout. Struve (25-5) has won six of his last seven fights with each victory coming by stoppage. He last competed at UFC on Fuel TV 5 where he scored a second round technical knockout of the previously undefeated Stipe Miocic. Struve, who is rarely in a boring fight, has finished 23 of his opponents. Hunt (8-7) also enters the bout on a roll having won his last three fights inside the octagon. He has not competed since UFC 144 in Japan where he knocked out Cheick Kongo in the first round. He has also notched wins over Chris Tuchscherer and Ben Rothwell.
