Roy Nelson knew this was coming. So did the UFC. The portly former IFL heavyweight champ is a bad body guy. He's 6-foot with a giant stomach who was once called a "bloated truck driver" by his local newspaper. The UFC reportedly told Nelson on several occasions the last few years that he didn't "have the look" to join the promotion. Meaning no matter how good Nelson is, fans, especially casual fans, would always look at him and say "how can this guy be an MMA fighter?" That was multiplied last night by probably what was the biggest audience in Ultimate Fighter history to watch Kimbo Slice take on Nelson. Nelson ran a ground clinic on Kimbo, winning in the second round and now the criticism is coming from fans and new media members covering MMA.
