Although Henderson was only a 2-to-1 odds-on favorite against Mr. 209, “Smooth” dominated Diaz to notch his second straight title defense.
Henderson landed 124 significant strikes to only 30 for Diaz. The champ also collected multiple knockdowns and secured nearly every takedown he attempted.
In addition, Diaz’s right eye was badly busted up and Henderson didn’t have a mark on his mug.
