Rory MacDonald (Pictured) talked plenty of smack heading into Saturday’s shootout against BJ Penn, which caused Penn to challenge the youngster to back up his yack inside the cage at Thursday’s pre-fight presser.
Well, as the old adage goes,”The proof is in the pudding.”
MacDonald dominated “The Prodigy” for 15 lopsided minutes en route to cruising to a unanimous decision victory. Following the fight, UFC president Dana White said on the FUEL TV post-fight show that he believes Penn should retire (again).
UFC on FOX 5 took place inside Key Arena in Seattle, Washington.

Are you like me? Are you one of those frustrated BJ Penn fans who just doesn't understand why he chooses to continue to compete at 170 pounds? Do you find it strange that the smallest welterweight in the division would come out of retirement to take on the largest welterweight in the division? Well, after watching Lions football every Sunday for the last 20 some years of my life...
BJ Penn is back, and he looks amazing. Anyone who’s seen his videos recently or recent photos has seen an amazingly chiseled and focused Penn. In stark contrast there’s the new look Rory MacDonald who looks to be auditioning for a new part in The Big Bang Theory. I guess he took the whole, “The UFC is going Metro” thing literally. In the fight business, there’s a cruel reality that athletes can turn old overnight. Well, in BJ Penn’s (Pictured) case, it took Rory MacDonald only 15 minutes to make the former two-divisional UFC champion look like he’s well beyond his prime.
If you were to ask UFC president Dana White, the 33-year-old needs to call it quits … again.
“BJ is a warrior,” White stated...
The UFC On FOX 5 fights themselves did come through, as most contests were exciting, entertaining and featured a number of finishes. Although not everything went according to plan.
