UFC on FUEL TV 8 did not disappoint and neither did the fighters who racked up some extra cash by winning fight bonuses for their performances on the card. UFC on FUEL TV 8 took place last night at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. Wanderlei Silva (35-12-1 MMA, 5-7 UFC) won $100,000 for knockout of the night and [...]

Mark Hunt has been known for his tremendous strength and power; tonight he exhibited both with a thunderous 3rd round knockout.
Hunt was at a physical disadvantage against the 7’0″ 280 lb Struve but he used his quickness to stay close to Struve’s body and effectively neutralized any reach advantage that Struve may have had entering the fight.
Hunt has openly said that he is...
Mark Hunt is one of, if not the hardest puncher in the UFC and when he lands one of his bombs with 4oz gloves, bad things happen. Well, as we saw last night, Hunt landed cleanly multiple times and connected big with a left hook walk off KO.
Struve tweeted the following after the fight:
“45 minutes to the hospital without painkillers.. Man, please choke me out.. Jaw is hurting...
For those of you who have wondered what a broken jaw looks like, UFC fighter Stefan Struve decided to show us via his Twitter account.
After losing to Mark Hunt in the third round of a bout in Japan, Stefan was taken to a local hospital and below is the X-ray of the damage that the knockout did to his facial structure:

When a guy is 5’10 and fights a guy who is 7’0, their stare down pic is a must see. Struve better use that distance to keep Hunt away from him, as Hunt could touch you and you could go to sleep.

There was no need for a third man in the cage when Hunt took on Stefan "The Skyscraper" Struve during the UFC on Fuel TV 8 co-main event in Saitama. Mark Hunt calls off his own fights, and after landing a left hook of doom that dropped his 7 foot tall opponent, he knew the next step would be heading over to collect his KO of the night...

Another UFC event has come and gone, and while the echoes of
Wanderlei's astonishing knockout of Brian Stann might still hang in the
Saitama Super Arena, the cage has been taken down, and the traveling
circus moves on.
It was a night of tremendous joy for fans of the old Pride Fighting
promotion, as Wanderlei Silva, Mark Hunt and Takanori Gomi...
The UFC returns to Japan this Saturday for another surprisingly stacked Fuel TV card, headlined by PRIDE legend Wanderlei Silva and former Marine Brian Stann. Now normally I pick a match-up that jumps out at me and break down the individual games of each fighter. However, I want to talk about all the bouts on the main card (minus Hirota and Yahya), as they are all exciting. So, instead...
"I want to send a message to Wanderlei Silva. Our great champion. Our eternal great champion. I am a huge fan. I wish you all the best in your next fight. Go in there, as always do with your warrior style. Like a beast. Give your best. For sure you will win. Big hug Wandeco!"
Stefan Struve isn’t the only one who broke something on Saturday night at UFC on FUEL TV 8. Lightweight Takanori Gomi revealed he fractured his right hand at some point during the opening round of his highly controversial defeat to Diego Sanchez.
As customary with most wounds suffered inside the Octagon, Gomi posted a picture of his X-ray on his official blog for the entire MMA...
