After a night of freebie MMA action, UFC president Dana White awarded Matt Wiman (Pictured), Drew Pickett, Stefan Struve and Stipe Miocic each an additional $40,000 for their special performances Saturday night at “UFC on FUEL TV: Struve vs. Miocic.”
Wiman ended his year-long hiatus in style by tapping out Brazilian jiu jitsu ace Paul Sass. “Handsome’s” opening round armbar earned him ‘Submission of the Night’ honors.
Pickett pocketed his ‘Knockout of the Night’ check with a vicious uppercut on Yves Jabouin in the opening round of their bantamweight affair.
As headliners are supposed to do, Struve and Miocic put on the best performance of the evening in the eyes of White. The heavyweights earned ‘Fight of the Night’ for their thrilling back-and-forth shootout.
UFC on FUEL TV 5 took place inside Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England.
