Takanori Gomi, Charles Oliveira, Briann Stann, and Mike Massenzio each earned $40,000 “fight night” bonuses for their performances at Sunday’s UFC on Versus 2 event in San Diego, UFC President Dana White announced at the card’s post-fight press conference.
The former PRIDE champ Gomi scored “Knockout of the Night” and his first UFC win with a 64-second KO of Tyson Griffin on the Versus-televised main card.
Oliveira won “Submission of the Night” in his UFC debut, transitioning from a triangle to an armber to force fellow lightweight Darren Elkins to tap in just 41-seconds.
Following two close rounds, Stann rocked Massenzio early in the third only to be taken down again, but eventually forcing Massenzio to tap to a triangle choke to earn the pair “Fight of the Night” honors.
