According to a post on the Twitter account of UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta, the collasal matchup between UFC Heavyweight Champ Junior dos Santos and Number One Centender Alistair Overeem will take place in a little over 3 months.
User @ModernWarfare56 tweeted the question to Fertitta: “JDS VS Overeem on big summer card?”
Lorenzo replied back rather quickly, stating: “memorial day weekend vegas”
This would imply that this fight will take place at UFC 146 scheduled for May 26th from Las Vegas. And it seems that this won’t be the only massive Heavyweight fight on the card. It looks like Cain Velasquez will look to bounce back from his UFC on Fox loss to face Frank Mir.
