UFC to counter program Strikeforce with UFC 100 bouts

By Jason Benfari August 12, 2009This Saturday on Showtime, fans will be treated to MMA's first major card headlined by woman when Gina Carano and Cris "Cyborg" Santos square off for Strikeforce's first 145 pound woman's title. Just before the fight however, Spike has confirmed that it will air select fights from UFC 100. So if you missed it the first time around, you've got another shot at it for free on SpikeTV. While not a direct re-run, the show will feature the following match ups: Main Card: Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Alan Belcher Preliminary Card: Mark Colman vs. Stephan Bonnar Jon Jones vs. Jake O'Brien Shannon Gugerty vs. Matt Grice The counter programming will be begin on SpikeTV at 10pm ET this Saturday.
